Give a Gift from the Heart is a program that allows you to help the animals in our Foster Pet and Therapy Dog Programs while providing a unique and meaningful gift to their families in need.

We rely on your generosity and compassion to keep providing care for our animals. Every gift, no matter the size, has a real impact on our ability to provide ongoing medical care and comfort to the dogs and cats who bring us closer together through their love.

Your Gift Means the World to them!

Give Monthly - $5

Would you consider becoming a monthly contributor to support our work? As little as $5 or $10 per month go a long way when combined with several others.

Give a Toy and Training - $10

Toys help minds keep busy and occupied! Some help dogs strengthen and keep their teeth clean, and others help teach retrieval training.

Give Parasite Treatment – $15

This topical treatment protects against mites, fleas, lice and worms. Parasites can live on the skin or inside the body where they can affect many organs and create illness.

Give a Leash and Training - $20

One of the most important, basic and yet overlooked skills a dog should have is walking properly on a leash, and never pulling ahead.

Give a Microchip ID – $30

When they’re lost they can’t pick up the phone! Microchip identification can save their lives and bring them home safely.

Give a Cat Litter Box and Litter - $45

People make strong emotional bonds with cats. Hospital patients ask us to care for their best-friends until they leave hospital. Help keep our cat spaces fresh and clean.

Give a Cat Bed - $55

Till they go home, hospital patients often ask us to care for their senior cats. If they sleep on a hard floor, or in an area where cold draughts exist, it can compound problems such as joint pain, arthritis and hip problems.

Give a Dog Bed - $70

We provide foster care for dogs in distress when patients at hospitals have no way of caring for their animals. If they sleep on a hard floor, or a cold, draughty area, it can compound problems such as joint pain, arthritis and hip problems.

Give a First Aid/Trauma Kit - $100

Emergency Pet First Aid Supplies are often needed when an animal is injured by accident or during play.

Give Vaccinations - $125

Vaccinations help protect a pet from a number of potentially serious and even fatal diseases. Depending on what is required, our animals are vaccinated against rabies, distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, bordatella, corona, leptospirosis and lyme disease.

Donate a Neuter - $160

Neutering prevents uncontrolled breeding since a female and her pups can produce 67,000 puppies in just 6 years. Neutering also eliminates testicular cancer and decreases the instances of prostate disease.

Donate a Spay - $200

Spaying reduces, or eliminates, the instances of disease in the reproductive system and controls unwanted breeding. A pair of un-altered cats and their offspring can exponentially produce over 400,000 cats in 7 years!

Give Emergency Medical Care - $500

When we foster pets of hospital patients, we ensure patients have no additional worries during recovery. We help their pets with vet care ranging from common eye problems to epilepsy, meningitis, encephalitis, head trauma, spinal cord injuries, vestibular disorders, neuromuscular diseases and cancer.

Give Dental Care - $1000

Oral exams, blood tests, anaesthesia, dental scaling, cleaning and extractions are common for some of our animals with broken teeth and roots, periodontal disease, dead teeth, abscesses or infected teeth.

Our Fostering Program is called Foster Pets Rock! because our volunteers provide foster care for animals in distress when patients at hospitals and hospices have no way of caring for their animals at home.

Frequently these animals are taken away to shelters where an uncertain fate awaits them and the patients never see their beloved pets again.

Our volunteers foster these animals at the patient's home or at their own home, and take them to see their owners in hospital so they are never deprived of the wonderful love of their pets. This often provides much comfort and helps relieve the anxiety many patients feel which indeed helps in their recovery process.

Please help us by volunteering or donating to our program.
